• “when the world looks away”, a new single from austin’s forthcoming album, won the Reader’s Choice Contest on Jane Magazine’s website.  “when the world looks away” will be featured on a cd in every issue of Jane Magazine in early 2005.

• austin can be heard playing and singing “Across the Universe” (the Beatles) on the soundtrack to “Word Wars”, a documentary on competitive Scrabble that opens June 4, 2004. “Word Wars” was an Official Selection, 2004 for the Sundance Film Festival.  It won the Audience Award, 2004 at the Full-Frame Doc Festival and Best Documentary, 2004 at the Sedona Film Festival and has aired repeatedly on the Discovery Times Channel in parallel with its ongoing theatrical run.
  

• “ain’t you fine”, austin’s lead single off of page 7 was selected for All Songs Considered on NPR’s Online Open Mic in August 2004.
  

• austin can be heard as the voice of Eagle Eye Cherry (“Save Tonight”) on Karaoke Revolution (vol.1).  Karaoke Revolution is a video game by Konami for Playstation 2 that was voted the #1 video game of 2003 by Time Magazine.
• austin can be heard as the voices of Jamiroquai (“Virtual Insanity”) and Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier (“Perfect”) on Karaoke Revolution (vol.2) released July 2004.
• austin can be heard as the voices of a pre-pubescent Michael Jackson in the Jackson 5 (“ABC”), a post-pubescent Michael Jackson (“Beat It”), George Michael in his Wham days (“Careless Whisper”) and Freddie Mercury (“Under Pressure”) on Karaoke Revolution (vol.3) released spring 2005.
• austin is back in the studio to work on Karaoke Revolution (vol.4).

• austin and the band have been back in the studio putting the finishing touches on some brand new tunes that should be ready for release in mid-2005

• austin was selected to open for Rachael Yamagata (RCA Records) at the last show of her sold-out residency at The Hotel Café in Hollywood in July 2004.
